The Return of Melissa’s Blogs!
‘Ello Superchickers!
I know it has been quite some time since I have bloggity blogged, but I am here now so…
Obviously you know that our winter was busy with writing and studio time and remix albums getting made. Hopefully you all have a copy of Reinvention and find the waiting worth it. We were all super happy with how it turned out. So much so that we are doing remix versions of a few things live. If you haven’t heard the album yet, you should go get it and let us know what you think!

Currently we are on the Alive Tour. We are out with 2 newer bands, Luminate and Bread of Stone – they are all great guys and have been awesome to be out with! And then the topper for us is being out with John Reuben. We freaking love that guy. He is funny even when he isn’t being funny. We have had some great shows so far and some fun times off:

There are a few more weekends left of shows so check out the tour dates on the site in case we are somewhere near you and come say hi!
In other news, I’m sure most of you have heard about the floods in Nashville. Wow, what a weekend our city had. We were out of town but got in Monday after the flooding and couldn’t believe all that we saw around us. We were hearing all weekend from friends and getting pictures, but then to see it with our own eyes was hard to put into words. Thankfully none of us Superchick people had any damage, but we have friends who had to leave their homes and then the devastation to people we don’t know is heartbreaking. On a positive side though, I am so proud of the city I live in. Nashville has pulled together to take care of their own when it seemed no one else was coming to our aid. It has been a beautiful representation of God’s love. We are Nashville. Please keep us in your prayers though because there is still much left to be done.

Last but not least, last weekend was Mother’s Day and we got to spend it with our amazing mom who to me is the original Superchick. Tricia and I are so blessed to have a mom that was and is such an inspiration to us! We had a great couple of days with her and are so thankful for her. And happy late Mother’s day to all of the moms out there. We wouldn’t be who we are without you!
