A Very Special Encounter
Sorry to you all for missing blog times last week. I was a slacker and beg for forgiveness!
Now on to more important matters…on the 17th, we played a show in North Carolina and you may be thinking ‘well that’s not really anything new,’ but you would be so wrong. This day started for me with an encounter with Dave. He had some buttons on his shirt that he was quite excited about. They weren’t just any old buttons… they were 4 buttons of the different band members of Stryper…they were buttons that he has had since the late ’80s when he was a fan…they were buttons that he kept for just such an occasion as this… the day we were playing a show with Stryper…and his mission was to get them all signed.
Let me just report to you that not only did Dave get them all signed, but he got to hang out with Oz in his dressing room, which was after Oz stood side stage and watched our whole show. We all stopped by to say hi to Oz, who was so super nice and actually knew one of our songs, Big Star Machine.

That night the whole tour stood side stage to watch one of Christian music’s legends rock like only they know how. Here are a couple lil clips of the show:
The next day our show was in Arlington, VA . We have played this show for this youth conference many times before, and let me just say that you guys once again did not disappoint. It was an awesome show! And we had time during the day this time to actually go out and see some sights. We went to Arlington Cemetery. What an awesome and very emotional place. It makes me very proud of our country and the men and women that continue to put there lives in harms way for our freedom. Here are some pictures from our lil outing:

Well I am about to go to bus call so hopefully I will see some of your faces in Texas and until then, stay classy…
Melissa

Wow, I really enjoyed your show in NC!
God bless!

Melissa – Your MOM is awesome. My two daughters and I were enjoying your front row concert last night in Hamilton, Ohio when I finally realized we were rocking out with your Mom! Did you know that she knows (and sings) all the words to your songs – how cool is that? Have a great day in West Virginia today and thanks for being God’s vessels.

That is so cool! Isn’t Arlington breathtaking? I went there on a school trip last year, and it was just amazing.

I wish I had been at the NC concert (We’re from Ohio). My wife is a Superchick nut and I’m an old-school Stryper fan! I’ll begin weeping now!
